Full-Time Forest Resource Analyst
OneFortyOne Plantations is seeking to appoint an experienced Forest Resource Analyst to support the strategic management of OneFortyOne’s plantation resource. Reporting to the Resources Manager the role shares responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of the resource information database, growth and yield prediction systems and the Estate Model. The position interacts with the broader business in strategic wood flow projects, acquisitions, improvement initiatives and the provision of effective business intelligence through the analysis of resources and other corporate databases.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and brings strong analytical, modelling and information processing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences. They will have demonstrated they are able to work effectively within a small team, yet also possess the leadership qualities to initiate and manage projects that reach across the business.
- Assist with the strategic management of OneFortyOne’s plantations as a flexible resource base with a strong focus on long term value.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the data bases and systems needed to deliver the information products and decision support services expected of the Resources Team.
- Contribute to the delivery of these services, including core services such as forest valuation, strategic wood flow analysis, yield reconciliation.
- Engage with staff across the business to ensure that services provided are effective and add value.
OneFortyOne Plantations combines transformative leadership with deep forestry expertise to build on the success of the oldest softwood plantation resource in Australia and the largest in the Green Triangle Region.
This role will be based in Mt Gambier, the second largest city in South Australia, located halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide near the Victorian border and in the heart of the Limestone Coast. Offering all of the major services and facilities that are provided in a capital city, but with a relaxed and friendly rural community lifestyle.
