Full-Time GIS Officers

HVP Plantations is a successful privately owned timber plantation operator that manages extensive plantations across Victoria.

HVP Plantations is seeking 2 Geographic Information System (GIS) Officers. Both roles are based in vibrant regional centres with a myriad of great lifestyle opportunities available at your fingertips.
The roles report to the Resources Manager in each region, and are part of a larger state-wide team comprising GIS professionals and forest scientists.
The roles will include both regional and corporate responsibilities. The objectives of the roles are to maintain spatial data that describe the plantation estate; to provide GIS-related support, training and assistance to GIS users; and to provide GIS-related services to all parts of the business.
Over the next few years, HVP will be reviewing and upgrading our spatial systems and services, providing the successful applicants the opportunity to contribute to a significant business improvement initiative.
What do you need?
You enjoy working in a team environment and are motivated to improve GIS user experience. You enjoy the challenge of problem solving and developing solutions and welcome change and business process improvement. You take pride in your work and display excellent attention to detail, and you are able to balance and prioritise workloads. You have formal GIS qualifications and/or experience in a GIS role.
