The Company

The Role
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will establish and lead the development of a geospatial information management platform (IMP), systems and protocols to facilitate 3D visualisation and Building Information Modelling (BIM) with real time accurate live reporting by ensuring the capture and availability of all relevant property, infrastructure, environmental, heritage, cadastral and planning information which is integral for the management of risks, and the effective decision making with regard to the programme.
Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:-
• Responsible for the efficient and reliable management of a key strategic asset management tool that incorporates current and accurate GIS, design, property data, stakeholder information, asset management, construction planning, scheduling and cost estimating data for use by the Inland Rail programme in the management of risks and effective decision making.
• The application of expert and technical information to the evaluation and of complex programme and property transactions to facilitate the management of risk by ARTC with regard to the programme
• The application of critical judgement in the evaluation of geospatial data to deliver meaningful and illustrative visual representations.
To be successful in this role:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience in a Spatial Information environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of property and land legislation, procedures relating to the dealing of land within the appropriate Lands office
• Proven experience in contract administration, budget and business planning and the associated project management.
• Demonstrable communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and without supervision.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills, particularly with Government agencies, Local Councils, external parties and the public.
• Membership of a relevant professional organisation.
• Experience with electronic records management and survey skills and/or CAD experience will be highly regarded as will an understanding of rail operations and their associated impacts on ARTC.
