The Northern Territory Government is seeking to recruit a team leader for the Survey and Land Records work unit within the Survey Branch of the Department of Lands Planning and the Environment.
The ideal applicant is a self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a changing environment and lead a small team. You will be able to demonstrate your:
- Ability to provide specialist advice and services for land survey statutory requirements and compliance and the related land record management. An understanding of the development processes and the administrative support required to ensure survey plan approval.
- Extensive knowledge of the content and operation of current textual and graphical computerized land information systems and associated corporate datasets. For example Digital Cadastral Data Base (DCDB).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively negotiate, mediate and collaborate with various authorities, the development industry and the general public.
- Sound contemporary leadership and management skill.
- Significant working knowledge of cadastral survey, land and unit titling systems and their practical application.
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of legislation relating to survey, land administration and land titling.
It would be desirable to have a qualification in surveying or land related discipline awarded by an Australian institute or equivalent.
