The Northern Territory Government is seeking to recruit two Surveyors for the Survey Services work unit within the Survey Branch of the Department of Lands Planning and the Environment.
The ideal applicants are self-motivated individuals with the ability to work in technology based environment and contribute to the development of survey infrastructure in the Northern Territory. You will need to demonstrate your:
- Ability to provide quality surveying (cadastral and geodetic) advice and services to support the development of surveying infrastructure in the Northern Territory.
- Undertake field and audit surveys, analyse survey information, maintain survey records, systems and datasets as required.
- Provide support in the administration of the Licensed Surveyors Act and assist in the implementation of national survey infrastructure reforms within the Northern Territory.
- Develop and maintain effective and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders in order to undertake effective consultation, support implantation of initiatives and new policies.
- Good oral and written communication skills for reporting, creating project documentation and maintaining effective governance.
- An understanding of Work Health and Safety as they apply to a workplace including remote locations.
It is essential to have a Bachelor of Surveying or an equivalent qualification and a current Driver’s License. Registration as a licensed surveyor is desirable.
Graduates will be considered for this position, with a formal training agreement to progress to the P2 level.
