Job Description
Pastoral Partners Australia (PPA) is looking to appoint a skilled post graduate GIS analyst to join our team in the Brisbane CBD on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a new and growing team, working on innovative in-house projects, with the goal of growing expertise and knowledge within the business. Optimally we are looking for a analyst with at least two years’ work experience using GIS packages, who has a passion to work in an innovative environment within a growing industry sector.

The Role
The successful applicant will have experience in GIS/drafting packages (preferably ArcGIS), a high level to attention to detail and a strong ability to meet deadlines to undertake map generation, interpretation, data export and import. Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, together with a desire to work within an emerging sector, are also highly desired.
The position, based at our Brisbane CBD office, will work to support a dispersed team that sits across Queensland and Northern New South Wales, and will be a key contributor to PPA identified in-house projects.

Key Attributes for the Role
To be considered for the position, the applicant should be able demonstrate:
– A tertiary qualification in Geomatics, Spatial Science, or an equivalent discipline.
– Experience in using GIS packages (preferably ArcGIS).
– Competency in the Microsoft Office suite (Office 365).
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Must hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
– Previous working experience with having completed graduate program, and at least two years postgraduate experience is highly desired.
