Full-Time GIS Analyst

About The Role
The GIS team at Acciona manages, analyse and visualises spatial data to assist the business in making informed decisions. This role provides ongoing support to Project Development, Engineering, Environment and Planning, Construction, Community and Stakeholder, Legal, and Operations teams throughout a project’s life cycle.
In this role, you will work closely with Acciona Energia’s internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and assist the business in achieving its objectives. This includes:
- Project Development – Assisting in the development of projects through analysing spatial data to identify new sites, detail mapping of suitable sites
- Project Delivery and Construction – Playing a key role in maintaining project layouts and other datasets for regulatory and planning compliance purposes
- Operational projects – Maintaining asset and land owner data including responding to Before You Dig information requests
- Data Management – As the custodian of Acciona Energy’ spatial data, the GIS Analyst will ensure that all data is current and maintained to a high quality.
This role also requires communication with and management of external consultants, as well as quality assurance of the provided data to ensure that they meet the industry and Acciona Energia’s standards.
About You
- Degree in Geospatial Science or similar tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Remote Sensing, Surveying, Photogrammetry, and GPS principles and the ability to manage and manipulate related data sets.
- Advanced user of ESRI ArcGIS Software Platform including strong cartographic skills and Web GIS
- Good knowledge of FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) software.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A team player who is willing to work with multidisciplinary teams
