ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Pre-Sales Consultant is a key member of our commercial team operations and promotes the growth of Geoscape’s product portfolio within our network of customers. The primary responsibility is to engage and educate customers about location intelligence solutions in a way that enables us to retain and grow our commercial business. 

The Pre-sales Consultant works closely with our Director of Partnerships and Customer Success Manager to qualify opportunities with our existing customer network to promote sustainable data solutions. 

As a technical leader inside the commercial team, you’ll also make use of your design, technical and communication skills to develop proposals and responses to commercial opportunities. Connecting closely with our product teams you’ll develop a deep understanding of our production capability, while also collaborating with the marketing team to deliver digital assets which demonstrate our value proposition.   

You’ll represent the voice of the customer, justifying product development and investment decisions.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Tertiary-level qualifications (or equivalent experience) in spatial science, data science or a related discipline.  
  • A proven track record in a consulting or pre-sales role within a spatial, IT or technical solutions environment.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: SKILLS 

To complete the package, you’ll need skills and/or experience in: 

  • Developing and advocating for location-based solutions. 
  • Data analysis and visualisation in spatial and non-spatial platforms such as databases (e.g. PostGIS and PostgreSQL), ESRI, MapInfo, QGIS, FME, Power BI, Tableau and Excel is highly desirable. 
  • Written and verbal communication 
  • Interpreting needs and requirements and translating them into customer solutions. 
  • Creating compelling presentations to communicate the value of our products and services to technical and non- technical audiences. 
  • Participating in proof of concepts to help customers to build solutions.
