Full-Time Spatial Systems Specialist
Job Description
With your experience in leading process improvement and managing stakeholder relationships, play a part in delivering GIS programs and optimising Council’s enterprise spatial systems and applications (Esri Platform).
As part of the Spatial and Asset Information team, you will contribute to the delivery of major GIS projects across the city by:
- Providing expert technical advice in relation to the architecture, management and maintenance of spatial systems and databases, ensuring effective and efficient integration with other ICT systems across the organisation
- Coordinating and undertaking spatial analysis activities and projects to gain insights that will facilitate better decision-making by council
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinating the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s spatial data standards, specifications and business rules to ensure data accuracy and currency
- Facilitating effective spatial information workflows
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution in the fields of spatial science, information technology or associated discipline, or a demonstrated ability at that level
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation, management and utilisation of spatial systems and GIS (preferably Esri Platform)
- Demonstrated experience in determining business requirements and effectively implementing change management across an organisation
- The ability to be resilient, agile and self-motivated in a highly changing environment

This is a full-time position, Level 7 with a salary range of $110,575 to $117,271 (dependant on experience) plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
